Hull’s Jacobs Elementary School Names Lindsey Rajan as New Assistant Principal

HULL -- Superintendent Judith Kuehn and Principal Kyle Shaw are pleased to announce that Lindsey Rajan has been appointed as the new assistant principal of Lillian M. Jacobs Elementary School.

 

Rajan will begin in her new position on July 1.

 

"I want to congratulate Lindsey Rajan on her appointment to her new role," said Superintendent Kuehn. "I am confident that she brings the necessary skills, background and passion to excel in this position as an instructional leader and will play a key role in the Pre-K to 7 Jacobs School reconfiguration."

 

Rajan, of Quincy, has served as a first-grade teacher for Hull Public Schools since 2016. She assisted in leading initiatives that increased parent involvement and fostered a positive class and school culture by maintaining open communication with parents and guardians and providing regular updates on student progress and behavior.

 

She also currently serves as co-chair of the Lillian M. Jacobs Elementary School Literacy Review Committee.

 

Previously, Rajan served as a kindergarten teacher in the Holbrook Public Schools where she developed and implemented individualized educational plans for children with special needs and evaluated student progress through regular assessments and observation.

 

She has also previously served as a first-grade teacher in the Weymouth Public Schools and as a tutor for students enrolled in the Cohasset Learning Studio.

Rajan holds a master's degree in education from American International College, a bachelor's degree in early education from Eastern Nazarene College, a bachelor's degree in education from Eastern Nazarene College, and a certificate of study in administration from Curry College.
