HULL — The Hull Public Schools Committee is pleased to announce that Michael Jette has been selected as the next Superintendent of Hull Public Schools.

Jette will succeed Superintendent Judith Kuehn, who will retire at the end of this school year.

"I am so happy to be joining the Hull School Community," said Jette. "My family and I are eager to settle into the community, and I will be ready to look, listen and learn about the schools as we all prepare for the next step of this journey."

Jette will bring 33 years of educational experience to Hull Public Schools. He comes from the Litchfield, N.H., School District, where he has served as Superintendent since 2018. Among his responsibilities as Superintendent, Jette oversaw a $25 million operating budget and the development of a five-year strategic vision.

He also guided a facility improvement committee on multiple deferred projects for the district, including the renovation of a 35-year-old middle school, replacing a 90-year-old elementary school and updating a 22-year-old high school.

He began his career as a science teacher at Merrimack Valley High School in Penacook, N.H., later becoming Assistant Principal and then Principal for the District. Jette also served as Assistant Superintendent of Schools in the Bedford, N.H., School District.

Jette has served as a regional chair and executive board member of the New Hampshire School Administrators Association, commissioner of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), chair of 12 accreditation teams for the NEASC Commission on Public Secondary Schools, and a member of the New Hampshire Department of Education Accountability Task Force.

Jette holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of New Hampshire, a Master’s degree in secondary education from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, a Bachelor's degree in secondary education from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, and an Experienced Educator Certificate from the State of New Hampshire.

"We’re very excited to welcome Mr. Jette to the Hull Public Schools," Hull School Committee Chair David Twombly said. "He has many years of experience as an educator and administrator, and we’re looking forward to him continuing the many successes that his predecessor established with improved MCAS scores, the school grade reconfiguration process, improved relationship with HTA, and beautiful school facilities and athletic field."
