Curriculum and Instruction

Working together, the Hull Public Schools will provide and engage in professional development that supports staff to understand and address the learning needs of all students. Collegial discussions will occur about curriculum, instruction, and assessment to understand and apply best practices to improve student achievement.

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) adopted new Curriculum Frameworks for ELA and mathematics based on the Common Core. Since the DESE will base the new student assessment program on the new frameworks, aligning our curriculum with the new frameworks to prepare our students to be successful on this next generation of high stakes tests is a high priority for the Hull Public Schools.
