Tinker for 3-5 Year Olds

tinker
Event Date:
Wednesday, February 28, 2024 - 9:00am to 10:00am

Tinker is a set of resources developed by Boston Children’s Museum to support children ages 3 to 5, and their parents/caregivers, in developing and practicing tinkering skills, including problem solving, developing fine motor skills, and working together. It is exploring and using materials and tools to learn about the properties of materials and the capabilities of tools. Sometimes, tinkering is just exploring, and sometimes it leads to making something (to do a job or just for fun). It is absolutely the foundation to more complex engineering (using materials to make something that solves a problem). These are foundation STEM skills and also foundation life skills! Younger siblings can attend the group with their older sibling, but may require extra watching as some of the items will be small and not meant for the younger toddler or infant who is not in a seat. The group will run for 6 weeks from January 24th- March 13th.
