Principal’s Newsletter – November 2021

Dear Hull High School Families,

I hope this newsletter finds you all safe and well after experiencing quite a storm this past week.  We thank you for your patience and cooperation with Thursday’s two hour delay as staff and students safely made their way to school that day.

Here are some highlights of upcoming events along with important information for the month of November:

The National Honor Society will be hosting a blood drive in the Hull High School gym on Thursday, November 4th from 10:00-3:00pm.  The American Red Cross is experiencing critical shortages of blood donations so you can truly make a difference with your donation!  Appointments can be made by visiting www.redcross.org and searching for a drive on the "Give Blood" page.   The NHS students hope to see you there!

Grades for term 1 close on Friday, November 5th.  Please check your child’s grades in the Aspen portal to make sure all their work is up to date and completed in their classes.  Please reach out to teachers or guidance counselors if you have any questions or concerns.  Report cards for term 1 will be posted in the portal on November 10th.

There is no school on Veteran’s Day, Thursday, November 11th.

We will have a 90 minute early release day on November 18th in order to have parent/teacher conferences that afternoon from 1:00 to 3:30pm and from 5:30 until 8:30pm that evening.  On-line registration for conferences will be sent in a future email.

We are excited that another one of our traditions is returning with the Powderpuff Game on November 23rd!  The Junior Girls will compete against the Senior Girls on our turf field at 4pm.  Admission is $5 per ticket and $20 per family.  All gate proceeds will go toward the fundraising efforts of the class of 2022.

There will be a 10:50am dismissal on Wednesday, November 24th which is the day before Thanksgiving.

Our Thanksgiving football game against Cohasset will be held at 10am on the 25th and is a home game this year!  Come cheer on our Pirates as they battle the Skippers in their annual tradition.

There is no school on Friday, November 26th.

Have a happy and safe Halloween!  Be sure to check out the Aspen home page later today for our costume contest winners!

Sincerely,

Nicole Nosek, Principal
