Parent & Community Focus Groups

Good afternoon,

I’m pleased to share that Hull Public Schools has partnered with Teaching & Learning Alliance (TLA) to undertake a District-wide Strategic Planning process. When this work is completed later this summer, we will have a five-year Strategic Plan in place to guide the district’s priorities and annual efforts.

In the coming week, there will be several ways that families, staff and community members can directly engage in this work:

  • Surveys -  We invite you to take a survey about the current strengths and opportunities of the Hull Public Schools.  To be successful, we need a broad voice and strong participation from our students, families, staff and community members.  Please complete the survey and share your voice with our planning committee. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HullSP2026

    • Focus Groups - Student and Staff focus groups are scheduled for Wednesday, May 6th during the school day.  In addition, there will be 3 opportunities for parents, caregivers and community members to have their voice heard:
  • Parents:
        • Hull High School from 11:30 - 12:10, HS Exhibition Room
        • The Jacobs School from 1:15 - 2:00, LMJ Library
  • Community Members, School Committee & Parents:
      • The Jacobs School from 5:00 - 5:45, LMJ Library

To guide this work, process the data collected and inform the development of the strategic plan, we have established an 18 member planning committee.

We look forward to learning about your experiences through the surveys and encourage you to participate in one of the focus groups.  Questions about this process may be directed to me at [email protected].

Sincerely,

Michael R. Jette, Ph.D.

Superintendent of Hull Public Schools
